For two weeks, dazzling lemon-yellow blossoms beautified the
cacti along my daily walk. Then one morning, almost all the flowers were
orange. It was as if the color code on a paint-by-numbers painting
had been changed overnight!
Without photos to prove that the flowers
had indeed been yellow the day before, I would have thought some brain
circuits had shorted out.
Another sight surprised me. A yellow flower and an orange
flower were radiating their beauty side by side on the same cactus pad!
Are we capable of overnight transformation? And if so, are
we capable of loving and letting the beauty of our “old selves” continue to express just as the cactus pad with both the yellow and orange flowers does?

Beautiful and fascinating!
